1) Smoking and Alcoholism:
"Smoking has a C in cigarettes; bottle has a b in it"
Alcoholism and smoking and their need for certain Vitamins
2) Treatment for congestive heart failure (CHF):
"Unload"
Treatment for congestive heart failure
3) Precipitating factors for Myocardial Infarction:
"SEAT"

1) For a patient with alcoholism, they will have an increase need for vitamin B; think of B and Bottle.
In a patient that smokes, they will have an increase need for vitamin C. Think of C in the word cigarettes, and associate it with smoking.
2) Think of the acronym UNLOAD:
U - for Upright position;
N - Nitrates;
L - for Low sodium diet;
O - for oxygen;
A - for reducing Anxiety (Morphine sulfate);
D - for Digitalis.
3) Precipitating factors for Myocardial Infarction (MI), think of the following: "It is sweet for the patient to take a SEAT."
S - Stress
E - Eating too much
A - Anxiety
T- Temperature changes
